The Southwest Fiber Alliance supports local economies in Southwest Colorado and surrounding areas by bringing together farmers and fiber arts enthusiasts to share knowledge, resources, and heritage.
Calling all Fiber Makers!
We are coordinating a display of Local Fiber Art at the Durango Public Library for the month of April.
This is a great opportunity to share your fiber talents with the community!
Fill out the submission form here.
Here are the considerations for your submissions:
Anything that can hang from a hook on the wall or a hanger is fair game! Baskets, garments (socks, sweaters, shawls, hats), art yarn, etc. If you have any questions about your submission, reach out to us at info@thesouthwestfiberalliance.org with your inquiry & a photo of your item.
There is a 4'x4' maximum wall space allocated per artist.
Multiple submissions are allowed; we do ask that you rank your preference for which ones to display in your submission form if wall space becomes limited.
Preference will be given to art consisting of fibers sourced from within 500 miles of the Durango Public Library.
Pieces do not need to be completed - we are open to works in progress!
Deadline for submissions extended to March 21st, 2025. Submission drop-off will be available week of March 24th. Once you have submitted a form, we will follow up with more information
There will be an artists' reception the second weekend after opening! More info to follow.
